Gauchos Lose to Torts in Walk-Off
The Kingman Torts, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Torts Ballpark.

Led by Jim Pontarelli, the Kingman Torts downed the Glendale Gauchos, 7-5. Pontarelli was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Torts. The defeat makes Glendale 25-23.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Pontarelli hit a sinker from Sam Sharpless for a 2-run home run. The Torts, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This place was electric at the end," Pontarelli said.
