Quahogs Fall Short, 3-2, at Tempe
|
The Tempe Impalas and Buckeye Quahogs played an exciting game.
Buckeye designated hitter Salvador Majano had a good game, even if his team did not. The Quahogs dropped a 3-2 decision to Tempe at Peoria Sports Complex. Majano was 3-4 with a home run and a double. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Elliot Trickett.
Balboa Sosa, who is tied for 9th in the AZL in extra base hits with 23, took Buckeye hurler Mario Rye deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Impalas on top, 3-1. In all, Sosa had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Sandro Duran.
The win makes Tempe 20-34.
