Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Chandler Ranchers and Sierra Vista Hummingbirds.

The Sierra Vista Hummingbirds got a superb performance from pitcher Bernie Salinas, but the Chandler Ranchers still won the game, 4-2. Salinas threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Chandler has a record of 26-26, placing them 5th in the Arizona Rookie League South Division.

Dylan Greer came through with a big-time hit for Chandler. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
