The Peoria Pride thumped the Buckeye Quahogs, 8-2, at Surprise Stadium. Benito Rodriguez was a big reason his team got the win. Rodriguez was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Pride are now 34-21, while the Quahogs fall to 1-54.

Early in the game, Rodriguez had a 3-run home run for Peoria. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Pride on top, 3-0.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Buckeye manager Brendon Brown.
