Sedona Gets 6-4 Win Against Torts
Sedona catcher Reno Medina contributed significantly to his team's 6-4 win over the Kingman Torts. Medina went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Steers. The winning pitcher was 18-year old left-handed pitcher Vince Schlather. He tossed 96 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. J.R. Vong, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.

With Sedona trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Medina hit a fastball from Peter McKnight for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Steers ahead, 5-3.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Medina told the Sedona Daily News.

The Steers raised their record to 17-38.
