Led by J.J. Shaffer, the Florence Swordfish downed the Tempe Impalas, 10-9, in 10 innings. Shaffer slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Swordfish. Camren Bingham picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Johnny Reeves was tagged with the loss. Now 12-50, Tempe has dropped 15 straight.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Florence. That's when Liusmel Jaramillo hit a solo home run off 21-year old catcher Johnny Reeves to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Shaffer.
