The Oviedo Catch got a strong performance from pitcher Mohamed Bruno, who stymied the Daytona Beach offense en route to a win, 8-2, at Osceola County Stadium. Bruno got the win, improving to 1-3. He allowed 2 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. Bruno allowed 1 run. Oviedo, now 14-18, holds down 7th place in the Florida Rookie League Northwest Division.

The Catch got a big at-bat from center fielder Cameron Segal. For the game, Segal went 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Oviedo a 3-1 lead.
