The Chandler Ranchers defeated the Yuma Gnomes, 3-2, in part because of designated hitter Ronnie Ardo. Ardo went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Ranchers. The triumph puts Chandler at 46-19 for the season.
Ardo had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Ranchers went on to win.
