The Mesa Saguaros wiggled past the Buckeye Quahogs, 1-0, in 11 innings at Surprise Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Mesa pitcher Patrick Boston. The 4th-place Saguaros are now 33-32, the Quahogs 27-38.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Braden Sampson? The 19-year old center fielder Sampson stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Mesa up, 1-0. For the game, he was 3 for 6, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Boston said.
