Buccaneers Knock Off Hammerheads at Indians Developmental Complex
|
The Boca Raton Buccaneers got a stellar performance from pitcher Dave Barrett, who handcuffed the Cape Coral offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Indians Developmental Complex. The Buccaneers, at 20-13, sit in 4th place in the Florida Rookie League Southeast Division.
Martín Rodríguez, who is tied for 8th in the FLA in RBI with 19, chipped in for Boca Raton with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Rodríguez told the Boca Raton Times.
