Torts Suffer One-Run Loss at Florence
Sean Bush could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Kingman Torts lost, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Florence Swordfish at Goodyear Ballpark. Augustino Corona, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Mitch Cortez closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

The Swordfish got a big at-bat from catcher Emmanuel Guzman. For the game, Guzman was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Florence a 2-1 lead.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Kingman manager Ben Osborne.

The Swordfish, at 32-36, sit in 5th place in the Arizona Rookie League South Division.
