Robinson, Glendale Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
In a low-scoring game between Glendale and Kingman, pitcher Rhino Robinson was excellent. The Glendale left-hander helped his team knock off the Torts, 2-0. Lee Jonson earned the save for Glendale, his 2nd of the year. Glendale is now 16-20.
The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Robinson. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Gauchos. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Torts, striking out 7 and scattering 3 hits over 6.2 innings. Robinson is now 4-1 on the season.
"Rhino -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Gauchos manager Tony Coto. "He was the key to us winning."
