Buccaneers Need Extra Innings to Top Dolphins, 7-4
Fans who congregated at Tradition Field were treated to extra-inning drama.

Boca Raton starter Heath Gibbs pitched well against the West Palm Beach Dolphins at Tradition Field. The left-hander led his team to a win, 7-4, in 10 innings. Kurt Gentry earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0.

Boca Raton used a timely hit from Wayne Weist to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Buccaneers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Weist.

West Palm Beach is now 5-1.
