4-2 Hollywood Win Thrills Crowd
|
The Hollywood Spoonbills outlasted the West Palm Beach Dolphins, 4-2, in 10 innings. Hollywood left fielder Javier Carbajal stood out with his performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Hollywood reliever Troy Giles picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ed Moore took the loss. The Spoonbills, now 9-3, have played inspired baseball.
Carbajal delivered in the clutch for Hollywood. In the bottom of the tenth, he took a 0-1 fastball from West Palm Beach pitcher Ed Moore and parked it over the fence. The 2-run home run won it for Hollywood.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Carbajal.
