In a low-scoring contest between the Pompano Beach Aqua Sox and the Miramar Sun Dogs, Liam Goss was the X factor. The Pompano Beach right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Gabriel Cain stitched up the save, his 2nd. The win for the Aqua Sox raised their record to 13-7.
In the bottom of the fifth, Sal McCurry delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Pompano Beach designated hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Aqua Sox in front, 3-2.
"The more wins we pile up," said McCurry, "the more I like our chances."
