Fort Myers Gets 5-0 Road Win
The Fort Myers Flamingos took on the Miramar Sun Dogs at Roger Dean Stadium.

The Fort Myers Flamingos topped the Miramar Sun Dogs, 5-0, in Florida Rookie League action at Roger Dean Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Fort Myers pitcher and Absecon, New Jersey, native Owen Bryan. The winner was Bryan. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Patrick Haldeman. Jack Willie nailed down his 1st save.

Fort Myers took a 5-0 lead on R.C. Marcotte's 6th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Marcotte hit in the top of the ninth, left Miramar pitcher C.J. O'Haver visibly frustrated.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Bryan said.

The Flamingos sit in third place in the Florida Rookie League Northwest Division with a record of 14-10.
