It was a big day for Van Erskine and he brought the Coral Springs Manatees along for the ride.

Erskine led his club to victory, 25-7, over the Oviedo Catch at Ballpark of Oviedo, smoking Oviedo pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The 21-year-old catcher later called the victory "sweet."
