West Palm Beach Wins, 4-3, Over Threshers

The West Palm Beach Dolphins beat the Clearwater Threshers, 4-3. West Palm Beach pitcher and Stamford, Connecticut, native Sebastian Beam led the way. Cayden Whittington, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Ed Moore earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.
Rick McCormack delivered a big hit for West Palm Beach. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dolphins ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Beam told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
West Palm Beach is now 13-14. Clearwater is 8-19.
