Conditions were not ideal but Cape Coral and Hialeah were able to put their game in the books.

The Cape Coral Hammerheads had to overcome a big game from Hialeah designated hitter Oliver Price to leave Joker Marchant Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-4. Price went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Miguel Castillo got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 3 runs on 10 hits in 7.2 innings.

The Hammerheads got a big at-bat from third baseman David D'Onofrio. For the game, D'Onofrio was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Cape Coral a 4-2 lead.

In comments to the Cape Coral Herald, D'Onofrio admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."

With the win, Cape Coral raised its record to 15-15.
