Sailors Earn 4-3 Win Versus Kumquats
|
The Sanibel Sailors picked up a win at Bright House Field, dropping the Kissimmee Kumquats, 4-3. Nick Sanford, who is tied for 6th in the FLA in wins with 4, was the difference-maker. The win lifted the Sanibel record to 19-15.
Noah Levine delivered a big hit for Sanibel. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sailors ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Sanford.
