Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Félix Fajardo, who is tied for 4th in the FLA in triples with 3, the Pembroke Pines Herons defeated the Boca Raton Buccaneers, 4-1. Aarón Montano, now 2-1, was credited with the win in 2.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The Herons saw their record improve to 25-23.
Center Fielder Noah Cobin made an impact for Pembroke Pines, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Jhoan Dávalos in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Cobin was 1-2 with a double and 2 walks.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Boca Raton skipper Eddie Anguiano, "and it cost us."
