The Boca Raton Buccaneers, despite a fine performance by Miramar pitcher Patrick Haldeman, grabbed a 3-0 win at Roger Dean Stadium. Haldeman allowed no runs over 5 innings. The Buccaneers improved their record to 21-28 with the win over Miramar.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jason Casillas? The 19-year old catcher Casillas stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Boca Raton up, 3-0. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Casillas, "and then get after it again."
