Catfish Win Streak Reaches 6
|
The Bullhead City Catfish extended their winning streak.
The Bullhead City Catfish topped the Sierra Vista Hummingbirds, 6-0, with youngster Lee Dobson playing a key role. Dobson was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Catfish in the win. The winner in relief was Benjamin Dean. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0.
Ken Gallagher dealt the Hummingbirds a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Bullhead City leading 1-0, Gallagher, who is tied for 8th in the AZL in triples with 2, hit a 3-1 fastball for a 2-run single.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Dobson.
Bullhead City has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
