The rain did not keep Pompano Beach and Kissimmee from finishing their game.
Starting pitcher Elijah Goodman did his part in helping the Pompano Beach Aqua Sox thwart the Kissimmee Kumquats, 4-1. The win went to Pinkney Covington in relief, making him now 3-1. Ben Vough took the loss for Kissimmee.
Louis Tripp hit a 2-run double off Ben Vough in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Aqua Sox in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Tripp had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
Tripp told a Pompano Beach News reporter he was "pleased as punch" with the win.
With the win, Pompano Beach pushed its record to 29-20.
