Sailors Ballpark played host to some dramatic action.
The West Palm Beach Dolphins wasted an inspired, 6-inning effort from starter Conroy Boyd, falling, 2-1, to the Sanibel Sailors at Sailors Ballpark. Leif Drinnon was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Rahim Joseph.
The decisive blow was delivered by Gene Racy in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Rahim Joseph to win the game for Sanibel. The home crowd went nuts.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Racy said.
Sanibel has run its win streak to 6 in a row.
