Fighting Shrimp Hand Boca Raton 5-2 Loss

Conditions were not ideal but Key Largo and Boca Raton were able to put their game in the books.
The Key Largo Fighting Shrimp faced a tough opponent in Boca Raton pitcher J.J. Anderson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at George M. Steinbrenner Field by a final score of 5-2. Anderson went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win belonged to Luke Dickerson in relief. His record improves to 1-2. J.J. Anderson took the loss for Boca Raton. Hugo Aldape notched his 15th save of the season.
Had Lúcio Trujillo not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Trujillo hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Fighting Shrimp.
Said losing manager Serge Olivero: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
At 32-24, the Fighting Shrimp find themselves in 5th place in the Florida Rookie League Southeast Division.
