Charlotte Makes It 6 Straight with 6-5 Win
The Charlotte Knights defeated the Maine Grizzlies, 6-5, in 11 innings. Much of the credit belonged to shortstop Jackson Prentice, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Knights. Roland McKnight snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 2 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. The win puts Charlotte at 6-0.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ian Baker in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Kent Beaupré to win the game for Charlotte. The home crowd went nuts.

"I like our mindset right now," said Charlotte manager Zhu Yu.
