Syracuse Edges Columbus, 4-3, Joseph Ks 10
|
The Syracuse Chiefs did just enough to secure a victory over the Columbus Clippers, 4-3, at Huntington Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Mitchell Joseph. With the win, Syracuse elevates its record to 3-3.
The Clippers had little chance against Joseph, who overpowered Columbus hitters and struck out 10.
Joseph told a Syracuse Daily reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
