Mud Hens Get 6-5 Win Versus Buffalo
|
The Toledo Mud Hens and Buffalo Bisons obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
The Toledo Mud Hens topped the Buffalo Bisons, 6-5, the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Cachi Rodriguez. On the day, Rodriguez went 3-4 with a triple and a double, while adding 4 RBI for the Mud Hens. Isaac Hinton got credit for the save for Toledo. It was his 2nd of the year.
Toledo grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Rodriguez hit a bases-clearing triple. His 1st triple of the season put the Mud Hens out in front, 6-3.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Buffalo manager Adam Luthe. "But we decided not to take it."
The win has Toledo at 3-6.
