The Wilkes-Barre Barons picked up a win, 9-3, over the Durham Bulls at Coca-Cola Park. Eru Puentes led the charge. The Querétaro native was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Wilkes-Barre. Andy Goforth, the winning pitcher, is now 1-1. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 2. The win puts Wilkes-Barre at 12-5.

With Wilkes-Barre leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Puentes hit a fastball from Dustin Gluvna for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Barons ahead, 6-2.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Puentes.
