Knights Bounce Bisons, 4-0
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Charlotte Knights and Buffalo Bisons.
Charlotte Knights starter Tom Abueg pitched his team past the Buffalo Bisons, 4-0. Charlotte, now 13-8, has played well in the early going.
Charlotte used the clutch hitting of Richard Gittens to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Knights the lead, 3-0. For the game, Gittens had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"Tom did a tremendous job," said Charlotte manager Zhu Yu.
