Tides Reel Off Another Win, 3-2
|
The Norfolk Tides bested the Ottawa Oddballs, 3-2, at Harbor Park. Charles Carter was one of the standouts. He was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Kurt Allen earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The Tides keep rolling, raising their record to 15-6.
Carter contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Norfolk get the win.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Carter told the Norfolk Daily.
