Pawtucket Beats Maine, 2-1
|
Chukchansi Park hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
Pawtucket Red Sox starter Rob Kauffman was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Maine Grizzlies, 2-1. So far, the 2052 season has been disappointing for Maine, now 9-18.
It could have been a different outcome for Pawtucket, had it not been for Travis Higginbotham, the 23-year old right fielder . Higginbotham contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Pawtucket up, 2-1.
"Nothing fazes Rob," said Pawtucket manager Daniel Holcombe.
