Leal Dominant in Chiefs Victory
|
Syracuse got an elite performance from starting pitcher Simeon Leal in taking a 2-0 decision over the Gwinnett Stripers. The Chiefs now own a record of 15-16.
Leal earned the win to move to 2-1. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 5 and walking 3. The right-hander allowed the Stripers few scoring opportunities.
"Simeon was Simeon," said Chiefs manager Aaron Calderon. "He gave it all he's got."
