A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Kaiden Thayer led the Wilkes-Barre Barons to a win over the Toledo Mud Hens, 7-1. At 16-13, Wilkes-Barre is in 4th place in the International League Northeast Division.

Wilkes-Barre used a well-timed hit by Hernando Cardona to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Barons ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Today was a lot of fun," said Cardona.
