The Buffalo Bisons had to overcome a fine effort from Wilkes-Barre pitcher Victor Hayden to win, 3-1, in 16 innings at Coca-Cola Park. Hayden went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Sterling Wayne picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. C.J. Jones was tagged with the loss. The defeat makes Wilkes-Barre 14-22.

Mike Stevens came through with a big-time hit for Buffalo. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 16th inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Wilkes-Barre manager Jon Moody.
