Dundies Win, Now 19-17
|
The Scranton Dundies got a magnificent performance from pitcher Cato Ambros, who stifled the Buffalo offense en route to a 3-1 Dundies win at Coca-Cola Field. Scranton now sits in 7th place in the International League Northeast Division at 19-17.
Enrico Mendez, the 25-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Mendez contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Scranton up, 3-1.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Mendez told the Scranton Today. "Whatever it takes."
