Oddballs Improve to 24-10 with 5-1 Win
|
The Ottawa Oddballs beat the Pawtucket Red Sox at Ottawa Ballpark. The final score was 5-1 in favor of Ottawa. Manuel Santoyo led the way, going 3-for-4 for the home team. The winner in relief was Reuben Olvera. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. He now owns a record of 6-0. The first-place Oddballs have a one-game lead in their division.
A.J. Comings aided the Ottawa cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Santoyo told the Ottawa Herald.
