A good performance from right fielder Andy Alba helped the Scranton Dundies defeat the Pawtucket Red Sox, 8-3. Alba hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Dundies. Jody Williams got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Donny Sireci picked up his 1st save of the season.

Scranton grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Alba hit a 2-run home run off Christopher Roberts. His 9th home run of the season put the Dundies out in front, 3-1.

Alba called the win "a lesson in teamwork."

The Dundies improved to 19-17.
