The Charlotte Knights knocked off the Columbus Clippers, 5-4, in International League action at Hustlers Stadium. Charlotte pitcher and Rio Rancho, New Mexico, native Denis DelaTorre had an outstanding performance. Quinn Falcon came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-3. With this game in the books, Charlotte is 12-21, Columbus 18-15.

The decisive blow was delivered by Sherwin Hills in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Tyler Thurston to win the game for Charlotte. The home crowd went nuts.
