Loss to Bulls Extends Newark Losing Streak
|
Durham Bulls starter Curt Harbison hurled his team past the Newark Bears, 6-0. The winning pitcher was Harbison, now 3-3. He tossed 6 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 6. The Bulls' win now puts them at 15-18.
Aydan Mettler, the 25-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Mettler contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Durham up, 3-0.
"This game will humble you real quick," said Newark manager Jessie Moe.
