Red Sox Rally to Nose Past Syracuse
The Pawtucket Red Sox beat the Syracuse Chiefs, 6-5, at Victory Field. Harvey Dionne, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Pawtucket reliever Bill Ferreira picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dan Rendine was saddled with the loss. The loss makes Syracuse 24-9.

Pawtucket used the timely hitting of Salerio Baker to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Baker told the Pawtucket Daily News.
