Columbus Defeated by Scranton, 4-1
|
Scranton starter Geraldo Calle had a strong outing against the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. Calle picked up the win for Scranton, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Rafael Lozano earned the save for Scranton, his 5th of the year.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Goncalves Agosto? The Scranton left fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dundies on top, 2-0. For the game, Agosto had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It's a mindset," said Calle. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
The Dundies saw their win-loss record go to 21-19. At the same time, the Clippers fell to 19-21.
