Grizzlies Top Bisons, 3-1
|
The Maine Grizzlies got a stellar performance from pitcher Anthony Blackwell, who handcuffed the Buffalo offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Coca-Cola Field. Maine is now 20-32.
Maine relied on the hitting of Grump Fitzpatrick to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Grizzlies on top, 3-0. For the game, Fitzpatrick had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Fitzpatrick said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
