Red Sox Suffer 2-0 Setback
|
Orlando Grounds was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
The Orlando Wizards beat the Pawtucket Red Sox by a score of 2-0. Orlando pitcher Leon Szalay deserved the lion's share of the credit. Szalay threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball for the Wizards. Szalay, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Yobel Quintanilla didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Pawtucket trailing 2-0, Quintanilla retired Mason Morrison to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Quintanilla, with a wink.
The Wizards improved to 29-22.
