Narrow Win Takes Ottawa Streak to 7
|
The Ottawa Oddballs overcame a good performance by Birmingham left fielder Ryan Keyes to knock off Birmingham, 6-5, at Ottawa Ballpark. Keyes went 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk. The wins continue to add up for Ottawa, with the latest making it 7 in a row.
The Oddballs relied on catcher Vince Garvey for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 12th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"We'll enjoy this ride as long as it lasts," said Oddballs manager Dave Hicks.
