Knights Sink Tides, 5-1
|
The 5-1 Charlotte win over Norfolk was due largely to Dario Vega. The Knights right fielder was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch. At 26-27, the Knights find themselves in 5th place in the International League Southwest Division.
Vega had a critical at-bat in the bottom of the seventh for Charlotte, coming through with a run-scoring single to put Charlotte in front, 2-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Charlotte skipper Zhu Yu.
