Wilkes-Barre Barons starter Roger Woods kept the Scranton Dundies hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-2 win. Trevor Pepple closed it out for his 1st save. Wilkes-Barre is now 30-25, while Scranton is 29-26.
The Barons got a big at-bat from designated hitter Marvin Holts. For the game, Holts went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Wilkes-Barre a 2-0 lead.
