The rain did not keep Wilkes-Barre and Toledo from finishing their game.

Riding the 4-hit performance of the 27-year old right fielder Tom Wiley, the Wilkes-Barre Barons stopped the Toledo Mud Hens, 9-0. The last-place Barons lifted their record to 20-35.

With Wilkes-Barre leading 5-0 in the bottom of the eighth, Wiley came up to bat against Toledo pitcher Brent Windham. Wiley hit a slider to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Barons on top, 9-0.

Toledo manager Jose Villalobos said his team was "out of sync."
