Oddballs Win Again, Streak Now at 10
|
Buffalo pitcher Roland Sigmond gave the Oddballs all they could handle, but in the end, Ottawa left Coca-Cola Field with a win, 2-0. Sigmond allowed 2 runs on 3 hits over 6 innings. The Oddballs, at 41-16, have now won 10 straight.
Manuel Santoyo, the 31-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Santoyo contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Ottawa up, 2-0.
"It all comes down to execution," said Ottawa manager Dave Hicks. "Baseball 101."
