Barons Drop 10-2 Decision
|
Rochester first baseman Lon White helped his team beat the Wilkes-Barre Barons, 10-2. White went 4 for 4 for the Norsemen. The win was credited to Dylan Renshaw in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Roger Woods took the loss. With the win, the Norsemen hiked their record to 30-30.
Stanley Soto had a big bases-clearing double for the Norsemen in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Rochester leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Stan Wakefield and swatted a double to left. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Norsemen ahead, 8-2.
"Lon may be green behind the ears," said Norsemen manager Jon Oliver. "But he's quickly learning how to contribute."
